Sobre mi trabajo…
Trabajo como fotoperiodista freelance en Oriente Medio, con base en Beirut. Con la caída del reporterismo y la explosión del blogerismo no queda más que aliarse con la red como altavoz para aquellas gentes que en mundo árabe, desde el limpiabotas en Cairo, pasando por el ministro en Beirut, a la prostituta en Damasco , tienen algo que decir.
Escribiendo intento hacer lo mismo que en fotografía. Desde planos cortos en periodismo con crónicas que reflejen la coyuntura socicopolítica de esta región a amplios planos mediante reportajes y análisis sociopolíticos que ofrezacan una visión mas profunda e histórica de los eventos. Me proclamo antiobjetiva, porque la objetividad es un lujo que no nos podemos permitir en estos tiempos de crisis.

About my work…
I work as a Freelance photojournalist in the Middle East, based in Beirut. With the downfall of reporters and the proliferation of bloggers, we are left with few options other than the internet to try to give voice to people in the Arab World, from the shoe shiners of Cairo, to Beirut’s Ministers, to the prostitutes of Damascus, who have something to say.
In my writing, I pursue the same goals as in my photography. In my work I alternate between a closely focused point of view through news reports (that capture the sociopolitical moment of the region) to a broader, panoramic view through sociopolitical analysis (that allows deeper insight of regional issues).
I proclaim myself to be anti-objective, because objectivity is a privilege that we cannot allow ourselves in times of crisis.
All constructive criticism and commentary are welcome.
